Linda Teittinen runs Central Mass Ski Group — one of the largest ski trip organizations in Massachusetts. She coordinates ski trips all over New England and around the country, including trips to Big Sky, Montana, and Grand Targhee, Wyoming. Based on her career planning and serving as the on-site manager and guide for hundreds of ski trips, she has seen all types of injuries and knows first-hand how important it is to have good knees.

Linda Teittinen skiing“I have to be able to ski – it is my passion and my business,” Linda (pictured second from right) explains. Last Spring, Linda was experiencing terrible pain in her left knee. “It was screaming from skiing!”

With the ski season coming to a close, she researched orthopedic surgeons and made an appointment to meet Dr. Brittany Boisvert with Emerson Orthopedic Associates in Littleton. “Dr. Boisvert was terrific, she knew what needed to be done to get me back on skis.”

In June 2019 at Emerson Hospital, Dr. Boisvert performed a total knee replacement surgery on Linda’s left knee.

“I had the best experience, everything went well. I was home within 24 hours and on the mend. Within two weeks I no longer needed a cane or a crutch and I began to imagine my life back on the slopes.” With the 2019/2020 ski season here, Linda is excited to run ski trips every weekend — pain free with her new knee.
