Experience a bit of American independence by walking the Freedom Trail, or venture south and tour the mansions of the Gilded Age in Newport, Rhode Island.

Satisfy your need for adventure by going on a day trip to one of the many ski resorts in Vermont and New Hampshire, spend your weekend hiking the Appalachian Trail after a short three-hour drive or unwind with a picnic in the nearby Nashoba Valley.
