Schedule a Screening Mammogram With Emerson in June and Enjoy a Free Beverage from a Local Store

A local business woman who recognizes the importance of preventive screenings for women’s health is offering a free beverage to everyone who has a routine mammogram at one of Emerson Hospital’s Hermel Breast Centers in June.

Megan Pesce, local business owner, has a history of cancer in her family and gets her mammograms at Emerson. As a way to encourage women to take care of themselves, she is offering a free hot or cold coffee or tea at the 11 Dunkin’ locations she owns with her family in Acton, Concord, and Maynard to women who get a mammogram at Emerson.

“Many women are exhausted from the challenges of the pandemic and want to have some down-time outside of their homes in a safe way,” explains Megan. “This is a way to encourage women to practice self-care and give them something enjoyable. I encourage all women to go and get a routine mammogram. It is easy to do and mammograms save lives.”

To book an appointment at Emerson’s Hermel Breast Center in Concord or Westford, or to learn more about how mammograms save lives, call 978-287-8107 or visit emersonhospital.org/mammography.

“We are very grateful to Megan for offering women a free beverage after their mammogram,” said Dottie Hunter, CRA, R.T., section lead mammography & ultrasound, Emerson Hospital. “Throughout the pandemic, many women set aside their lives to care for others. Now it is time for women to focus on their own health. Our experienced mammography team makes the experience safe, easy, and thorough. Getting a mammogram is an important opportunity for women to take care of themselves, and enjoy a treat, too!”
