Emerson Recognized as a Top Maternity Hospital

3/17/2021

Emerson Hospital is named on Newsweek’s 2021 list of the Best Maternity Hospitals in the U.S. In partnership with the Leapfrog Group, Newsweek’s list includes 217 hospitals in 36 states throughout the country that consistently excel in providing care to mothers, newborns, and their families. Only eight hospitals in Massachusetts are on this year’s list.

In addition, Emerson was honored recently as a Blue Distinction Center + for Maternity Care by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts. Providers that meet the highest quality, safety, and efficiency standards receive this designation.

“We are pleased to be recognized for outstanding maternity care by Newsweek and Blue Cross Blue Shield,” said Jeffrey O. Riley, MD, FACOG, Chair, OB/GYN, Emerson Hospital. “The safety of mothers and newborns is paramount at Emerson. Our team is focused on providing expert, individualized, and compassionate care, and the best possible experience to our patients before, during, and after delivery — so families have a healthy start to their new lives together.”

The Clough Birthing Center at Emerson Hospital offers the highest quality medical expertise and family-centered care in a serene location, close to home.
